TASTING & COMMUNITY EVENT: War of the Rosés – Join us November 4th at The Willow, Lexington’s newest wine bar, for a one-of-a-kind showdown between cider rosés and wine rosés! Wise Bird Cider and West Sixth Brewing will go glass-to-glass in a rosé flight standoff. Dani Dunmire, co-owner of the The Willow, will be pouring a Graham Beck Sparkling Rosé. You’ll also get to meet the makers behind the pours — Greta & Tim Wright, co-founders of Wise Bird Cider, and Brady Barlow, co-founder of West Sixth Brewing — who will be pouring their own cider rosés. And Lexington sommelier, and curator of The Willow’s wine list, Renée Saunier Brewer, will be on hand to mediate the battle. We know you will enjoy the lighthearted banter and community rivalry! Stop in to pick up a new-to-you read from their selection of gently used books starting at 6 PM, and grab your bingo sheets before the games kick off at 7 PM! Kids sheets are FREE, adult sheets are pay-what-you-can. Your money directly benefits IBP and helps source more books and programs for more folks that need them! 10% OF ALL CIDER SALES WILL BE DONATED TO IBP, so you can sip AND support!

COLLAB RELEASE: WEST BORD! Stop by West Sixth Brewing or Wise Bird Cider Co. to experience their collaboration, West Bird. This beautiful concoction is a mixture of Wise Bird Cider’s mix of Jonathan & McIntosh apples, infused with Dragon Fruit & Galaxy Hops (hops provided by West 6th Brewing). Bright tropical fruit bursts forward — passionfruit, lychee, and guava from the dragon fruit — layered with the lush, citrusy aromatics of Galaxy hops. Notes of ripe peach, pineapple, and a hint of lemongrass.

A special one-night-only dinner menu that highlights the rich flavors of Kentucky cider from Wise Brd, with an exclusive handpicked selection on offer. Culinary director Tyler McNabb and Chef Karl Lowe have created dishes filled with fall flavor, from shareable plates to a prix fixe menu. The crowning event takes place at Wise Bird Cider (1170 Manchester Street, Lexington, KY 40508) from 12 noon onward! There will be activities for the whole family: On the Move Art Studio will be on site to craft and paint with your kids, Twist ‘n Shout Balloon Tying will twist your favorite balloon designs, and the best face painter in town will make you into a goblin or a fairy! Or something else entirely! And for those who don’t want to get crafty, there’s always Bocce Ball and Corn Hole!! SPECIAL CIDER TASTING (tickets here!) from noon onward!

The main attraction of Kentucky Cider Day’s Cider Fest is the SPECIAL CIDER TASTING (tickets here!) where you can interact with many regional producers and sample more than 12 different ciders from the likes of Wise Bird Cider Co., Country Boy Brewing, West Sixth Brewing, Monnik, Fable, The University of Kentucky’s winery, among others.
